It has been said by Erik ten Hag, manager of Manchester United, that Luke Shaw would not be rushed back from injury.

Shaw will not be available until after the September international break due to another setback in his recuperation.

Since February, Ten Hag’s club has been without the left back.

But in the 2024 Euro final, he started for England when they faced Spain.

It won’t be long before he returns, Ten Hag assured a news conference on Thursday.

Shaw will not be able to play in Friday’s Premier League opener against Fulham for Manchester United.

Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, however, will be available to Ten Hag following their completion of transfers from Bayern Munich this week.

The inclusion of Harry Maguire and [De Ligt and Mazraoui] in the squad was also mentioned by Ten Hag.
