Against the Saints, Christian Eriksen will start in his stead.
“He has had a good pre-season, in training he has had very good performances,” Ten Hag explained to TNT Sports when asked why Eriksen is beginning. He has consequently merited the opportunity to begin.
“Manuel, we have to integrate into the team,” Ten Hag said in response to Manuel Ugarte’s benching.
It will take time for us to integrate, and he has only had two sessions.
