A woman named Hauwa Sani and her two-year-old child were apprehended by Keffi Division agents of the Nasarawa State Police Command who found them in possession of guns.
It takes around 40 minutes to drive the 33 kilometers to reach Keffi town from the FCT.
According to a statement released on Saturday by Ramhan Nansel, the Nasarawa Police Public Relations Officer, the suspect was found with 124 rounds of anti-aircraft ammunition hidden in a gallon of palm oil.
The suspect, a native of Doro village in Katsina State, was apprehended on Friday, he added, as part of the operation.
The PPRO said that initial investigations have shown that the suspect obtained the ammo at Rafin Sanyi village in Doma Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.
