The incursion into the headquarters of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has been deemed pointless, unspeakable, and condemnable by former lawmaker Senator Shehu Sani.
Sani claimed that the incident had to have originated from disingenuous or inaccurate information or been orchestrated by a provocateur.
He demanded that the security personnel who were allegedly stationed at the Labour House vacate the premises.
There should be no justification for the attack of the NLC headquarters, he said on X. It was either manufactured by an agent provocateur or based on inaccurate or misleading facts.
It is necessary to remove the security personnel who are allegedly stationed at the Labour House.
According to Worldoh, the NLC had previously expressed concern over rumors that security forces had invaded its office.
On Wednesday, the union issued a statement through its official X Twitter in which Comrade Benson Upah, Head of Media and Public Relations, asserted that the Labour House in Abuja’s Central Business District had been attacked by a group of heavily armed security agents.
Officials from the federal government’s armed security detail were also demanded to leave the building by the union.
