Denilson Igwe, a well-known Nigerian comedian and sketch writer, recently opened up about the difficulties he’s been having since departing the Mark Angel Comedy.
In 2013, the humor channel Mark Angel humor exploded in popularity, amassing nine million subscribers and over a billion views on YouTube.
It has included Emmanuella and Igwe, among others, and is hosted by Mark Angel.
Igwe revealed in a recent interview with The Honest Bunch Podcast that the week before he quit the comedy group in 2019, his social media accounts were compromised.
Soon after I left Mark Angel Comedy, someone broke into my accounts on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
Ever since then, I’ve been instructed to perform something whose logic eludes me, and the pages just won’t turn. The social media accounts have failed to get a single follower since the beginning of 2019. There it is, simply like that.
Igwe reportedly accused Mark Angel of making money off of the comedy channel without his permission and claimed to be its originator in an earlier interview with Worldoh.
