The allegations that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) X account was compromised have been rejected.
In an exclusive interview with Worldoh published Thursday, commission spokesperson Dele Oyewale revealed this.
It follows rumours that hackers gained access to the anti-graft agency’s official X account, which made the rounds on social media.
But Oyewale denied the accusation.
He claims that the account is being upgraded by EFCC managers to suit worldwide standards.
That our X account was compromised is not accurate. An upgrade is currently underway to bring the Commission’s X account up to worldwide standards.
The renovation can only happen if the commission gives its approval. He informed Worldoh that hacking is unlike anything else.
This follows Guaranty Trust Bank’s denial of a website hack just 24 hours earlier.
