According to Worldoh, Jay-Z, who was responsible for choosing the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show headliner, has come under fire from Nicki Minaj and other fans for selecting Kendrick Lamar over Wayne.
A video message by Lil Wayne went viral on Friday in which he responded by blaming himself for being emotionally unprepared for disappointment.
Headlining the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans, his hometown, would have been the most honor for him, he claimed.
Additionally, Wayne mentioned that he is making an effort to overcome his disappointment.
“It was quite painful. My own lack of emotional and mental readiness for disappointment is to blame. That stage was the best in my city, I thought… It shattered him, and now all I can do is try to mend myself,” he explained.
