Posted by Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, chairman of the Silverbird Group, has stated that if Chidimma Adetshina, who was just awarded Miss Universe Nigeria, wins this year’s competition, Nigeria would host the Miss Universe beauty pageant in 2025.
On Tuesday, Bruce took to his X profile to declare that his organization, Silverbird Group, will stop at nothing to ensure that Nigeria hosts the global beauty contest in 2019.
He assured everyone that the problems they encountered in 2002 when they tried to hold Miss World in Nigeria would never happen again.
He made the bold statement that Nigeria must once again take center stage on the international arena.
“If Chidimma Adetshina wins @MissUniverse, you can be sure that The Silverbird Group will do everything it takes to host the 2025 pageant in Nigeria,” Bruce stated.
The lessons we’ve learnt from our previous endeavors are well-known to anyone who was around when we tried to hold Miss World in Nigeria in 2002.
However, I want to emphasize that the events of that time will not happen again. There is nothing on this planet that can stop Nigeria from reclaiming its due position on the world stage!
According to the Worldoh, Chidimma Adetshina, who was just named Miss Universe Nigeria, had to step down from her position as Miss South Africa due to criticism of her nationality.
