According to Worldoh, Samson Siasia has stated his intention to resume managing the Super Eagles.
Nearly two months have passed since former Super Eagles head coach Finidi George resigned, but the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) still has not named a replacement.
After serving a five-year ban for match-fixing, Siasia is free to return to the dugout.
In an interview, the ex-Nantes striker revealed his interest in returning to management of the Nigerian national team.
During an appearance on Sports Salsa on Kennis 104.1FM, Siasia declared, “I am not a messiah, however, we need to sit down and identify our priorities.”
“The way things develop will be revealed.”
Twice before, Siasia presided over the Super Eagles.
He was fired in October 2011 after failing to lead the squad to the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. The 57-year-old had succeeded the Swedish Lars Lagerback in November 2010.
Following Sunday Oliseh’s departure in 2016, he had a short return to the squad.
