A school in Gaza that was housing displaced Palestinians was attacked by Israeli forces, resulting in the death of at least 100 individuals.
During Saturday morning prayers, the school in Gaza City’s Daraj neighborhood allegedly came under bombing.
Among the casualties were reportedly women, children, and the elderly.
The Israeli military said in a statement that the school was housing “terrorists” and was functioning as “Hamas headquarters.”
The statement went on to say that a number of measures were made to lessen the likelihood of civilian casualties.
The government media office in Gaza issued a statement in response to the attack, stating that the Israeli occupation force carried out a slaughter and emphasizing that the action represents genocide and ethnic cleansing against Palestinians.
The number of martyrs increased dramatically as the occupying army bombarded the displaced people as they prayed at morning.
Medical personnel, civil defense, relief workers, and emergency responders have not been able to locate the remains of every martyr thus far because of the horrific nature of the slaughter and the sheer number of casualties.
This terrible atrocity was carried out by the occupation, and we demand that the entire world denounce it. The United States government and the Israeli occupation are totally to blame for this atrocity, in our opinion.
Putting pressure on the occupation to end the crime of genocide and ethnic cleansing against civilians and displaced persons in the Gaza Strip and to stop the cascade of blood flowing in the Gaza Strip is a call to action from the world community and international organizations, according to the statement.
Since Hamas’s incursion into Israeli territory on October 7, 2023, Israel has been firing missiles into Gaza.
